There are many kinds of trainers out there, and finding the right one can be a daunting task, since training is a highly personal service that depends on personality, chemistry, and subjective experience, in addition to customer service and exercise knowledge.

Based on years of setting up trainers with clients, managing those relationships, and mentoring trainers, we have come up with a series of skill sets and questions that we see as integral in assuring that the personal trainer is able to empower their client.  You will be given the opportunity to evaluate your trainer, anonymously if you so choose, which will not only ensure the success of the relationship, but also help your trainer grow.

  • Have Excellent Communication and Listening  Skills.
  • Provide Safe and Effective Workouts.
  • Effectively Teach You Exercise Knowledge, so you know how to workout better on your own.
  • Always On Time, Prepared, and Looking Professional.
  • Have Good Availability for Your Schedule, Rarely Cancel, and Provide Advanced Notice When Cancelling.
  • Respond to all Email, Text, and Voicemail Communications Promptly.
  • Provide Motivation, Inspiration, and Leadership.
  • Consistently Provide an Customized Workout Program.
  • Challenge You to Workout on Your Own, Be More Self-reliant with Exercise, and Addresses Lifestyle Habits.
  • Comprehensively Address Your Health and Fitness by Collaborating with a Network of Health Professionals.
